Weekend
This weekend was basically like any other except an extra day.
Things I did:
Went thrift store shopping and ran errands with a friend.
Actually went to a cute little place in Aberdeen for lunch - Aberdeen Cafe (couldn't find a website) and then to the eastern bakery around the block (also no website). I've decided to try out more places for lunch than just Panera (although that place is damn good). I will definitely go back to the bakery because they sell pizza dough and I've been looking for some good stuff since I moved back to NC.
Had lunch with the same friend on Sunday too and ran a few more errands.
Layla had a haircut today; now she is naked.
Made a pie.
Read 2 books and started a 3rd.
Got a text from my sister saying that my mom made a comment about penises and that if she gets the job back here we will start group therapy to get the discount rate.
Watched "Brokeback Mountain" which I thought was awful.
Sent bills & b-day cards.
Cleaned the bathtub.
Things I did not do:
Laundry
Things that it's a problem that I did not do:
Laundry - I have no pants.
It has been hot & muggy these last few days and I haven't wanted to do much of anything. Part of the reason that this post is so long in coming is that I unplugged for awhile to read Midnight Sun, which depressed me in more ways than one. One way being that it's only partial and I wanted to read all of it. A second way being that I still hate myself a little bit for reading any of the Twilight series, much less the uncut version of a companion novel that you have to read online.
I will do my best to update more frequently, but no promises if it's still this hot and I'm still trying to go without AC.
