Drinking

2 seemingly random things brought together by alcohol:

First- stupid Steven is off of Top-Chef! Yay! That guy was such an ass. It's one thing to want to educate people, but he was so snotty and patronizing. I would leave if I ever went to a restaurant and the owner, waiter whatever talked to me like he did.

Second- check it out. I don't know how I feel about that. I think it's good that the University is taking a proactive step towards curbing excessive drinking, but I think they might be going too far with suspension from school from 2 drinks. I have an issue with the whole having to be 21 to drink thing- I think the age should be 18 which would solve a lot of the problems. I really don't drink that much anymore and I think a lot of people get over it in a few years. Yea I had fun in college and I definitely had too much on more than one occasion, but I think that's part of going to college. To make mistakes and learn from them. I think calling people's parents isn't going to deter many (if any) people from drinking and I think kicking someone out of school for having a beer in their dorm room is a little excessive.

Second Annual Top-Shelf Easter Extravaganza

My cousins and I all lived in NC last year and nobody could/wanted to drive home for Easter. So we all met up at my house and Super Drinkin' Sorry was perfected, and we were taught how to play ghetto golf. And Jeff got stuck in my couch. This year, we're all living in different places and decided we needed to meet up again to celebrate. We went here, Sherando Lake, VA. It's about half way between the 2 groups.

We had lots of fun, I got sunburn and some sort of lung disease which I should probably go to the doctor for but I won't until it gets worse, Roll and Jeff may or may not have gotten salmonella from eating under cooked chicken, and Matt became indoctrinated into the Top-Shelf. Much horseshoes and disc golf and wiffle ball were played. I hit Sara in the head with a ball and Roll hit me in the leg and left a bruise. I rolled all 3's in one roll in One Tie All Tie, the odds of which are 1 in 46656, right after the wind blew our canopy off, causing Jill to jump in my lap and leading Ann & Jill to believe something weird was happening.

I'll go into more details later, but I am sleepy and sore and don't want to go to class tomorrow. I just love being with my family - there were 6 other people there that all made me laugh and all hugged me goodbye- you can't beat that.

In bed

In somewhere around third grade I was taught to add the words "in bed" to the end of the fortune in a fortune cookie. I stopped doing that when I started working because it didn't seem professional to shout out "in bed" during a lunch with my boss.
However, I went out to PF Changs about a month ago with some friends who reminded me of the rule. My fortune that night was, "You will never go hungry". Great. I think my all time favorite was, "You will have good luck with horses and cards."
I got one last night that said, "You have a remarkable power which you are not using." Now that's scary. How did a cookie know that my love life in law school is nil?

Spoiler

Is it weird that at the end of Air Bud: World Pup, when Buddy plays goalie at the US Women's World Cup match against Norway, the first thing through my mind was not, yea right, they'd let a dog play soccer", but, "that's a violation because Buddy is a boy and this is a women's soccer match"?

Things

First of all, happy belated Bret. Oops.

Next - I'm just in a place where I don't care anymore. I haven't read for a few of my classes in over 2 months and I don't really care. Finals are approaching and I haven't started reviewing anything. My trial is next week and I haven't written my closing. Well, that I actually do care about but have to pretend that I don't because I want to be asked to join a trial team and I know that I won't because I either a) don't kiss enough butt, b) am too fat, c) am just not good enough and I don't want to face that realization, which ever it might be. The one good thing is that 2 professors who I respect have both told me I'm good and that I should be a trial attorney. Then again one of them told me I was tall.

Finally, I came across a new meme (well I guess it was an old one) and I adapted it b/c I am not in the film industry. So here:
ONE (1) earliest film-related memory:
I saw Snow White in a theater with my mom and a girl from my nursery school when I was really little- maybe 3. I can remember little bits about the movie but what I really remember was being jealous of that other kid. I don't remember why, and I can remember her face but not her name.

TWO (2) favorite lines from movies:
"With all due respect, you're acting like a first grader."
"You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means." and pretty much any other line from that movie.

THREE (3) book authors you like:
Vince Flynn
Jennifer Weiner
Orson Scott Card

TWO (2) movies you’d like to remake:
Harry Potter 4 - I'd totally make 2, I've got it set up in my head
LOTR Return of the King - same thing, although I know they did 3 to keep in line with the books, it would have been better as 4
