Biggest Loser

This year at Christmas my extended family decided to try an motivate each other to lose weight/get healthier. Being our family this naturally turned into a competition. We paired up into teams (I think at last count it was 8 teams, but I am not sure) for those who wanted to play or got guilted into it (ahem, me). We weighed in on New Year's (only your team mate had to know what you weighed) and we're going until the family beach trip in August. Some teams have bigger advantages than others, but the main purpose was to motivate each other. I have been slacking big time and I feel somewhat bad about it, but not that bad. One of my uncles, who didn't really need to lose any weight, has lost 25lbs! Bastard.

In the past week or so, I've been trying to at least do something. My sister gave me a Wii fit for Christmas and I've been pretty good about keep up with it. It sort of follows the same principles as Weight Watchers does - it gives you stamps for weighing in everyday and upgrades you after a certain number of tries. The "trainers" try to keep you motivated etc. I'm actually enjoying it so far and hope to keep it up. BTW, I am a hula hoop champion.

Comments:
Ryan - that's a great idea! Seriously, exercise is so important - you need to exercise as much as you can! The weight will start coming off if you get more active. I exercise a lot more than other people SOLELY because I eat a lot more than other people. Good luck!
